Lana - Artist Sara Molano

Beach Cat "Moon Shadow"

Elysa - Happy Customer

Sara Molano's lithe form waits patiently while her vivid green eyes lined in blue/green Mac eyeshadow and radiant smile beckon you into her booth.  A treasure trove of handmade flourishing artwork awaits.  Working in acrylic paint her hallmark pieces are mother-earth type goddesses who expose half their face along with one breast.  Their style has expressionistic undertones.  L'Humanite represents the artist's own view of  "half beings" or those whose knowledge of self is only surface.  She takes a detour with eco-friendly natural fiber felt wool creations;  pocket books adorned with felt flower petals, pill box hats, kid's bags with felt finger puppets, hair accessories, necklaces and felt decorations for baby's room.  In fact YG Farmer's Market is first time she has taken all her felt creations out of the closet and displayed.  She's been encouraging customer feed back which has been good.  Taught by her grandmother as far as Sara knows she is the only artist working in this medium.  Life-style art is depicted in L'Disco - a painting edged in beer bottle caps: dedicated to the girl who goes out partying.  Her handiwork "Lana Chicken" got a celebrity boost when she was in NY for Fashion Week 2010.  Someone saw her on the street with the bag and invited her to a VIP QVC home shopping network party at Madison Square Garden where her show chicken was passed around by the likes of Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian.  Quite a journey for this talented artist born in Columbia and raised in "Chi-Chi-Chi, le-le-le - Viva Chile!"
