These sturdy gaily colored hammocks hail from the Brazilian city of Patrocinio west of Rio. They are the ultimate eco-friendly relaxation apparatus. Traditionally hand crafted by native Indians out of cotton, fishnet or coconut threads they are ideal for modifying small sleeping areas; remaining handy and hygienic so in the morning can be folded and put away. Adaptable with myriad and fascinating uses. In fact in Brazil they are used for dolphin rescue. Unfurled they are spread out underneath the injured mammal and gently gathered onto shore. This is Edna's first venue to introduce to America; her family has been selling in Brazil for many years.
