Mi Casa Su Casa Hammocks - Edna Koehl

A bit of the Brazilian carefree spirit has been brought direct to our shores and Yellow Green Farmer's Market is the timely recipient.  These sturdy gaily colored hammocks hail from the Brazilian city of Patrocinio west of Rio.  They are the ultimate eco-friendly relaxation apparatus.  Traditionally hand crafted by native Indians out of cotton, fishnet or coconut threads they are ideal for modifying small sleeping areas; remaining handy and hygienic so in the morning can be folded and put away. Adaptable with myriad and fascinating uses.  In fact in Brazil they are used for dolphin rescue.  Unfurled they are spread out underneath the injured mammal and gently gathered onto shore.  Conversely they are fishing implements serving as nets.  Strong and durable the large ones can hold a person up to 400 Lbs.  This is Edna's first venue to introduce to America; her family has been selling in Brazil for many years.  She offers customization and depending on the style can have it done in one week or one month.  In her country they offer protection from insects, small forest animals and snakes; now your special hammock can be the fast track to a day of leisure.
